Greetings Brothers and Sisters, I hope you are having a nice summer and enjoyed a safe July 4th.

Congratulations to Business Manager Mike Bowes and his staff on their nominations and single ballot election back in May. This show of confidence in Mike and his staff is well deserved. Mike and his staff continue to work hard and make often difficult decisions that always have the best interest of the membership and overall health of the Local in mind.

I would like to congratulate the newly graduated Apprenticeship Class of 2025. On June 26, 2025 this talented group officially graduated from the program and began working on their transfers. I would like to thank them for their four years of hard work, as well as their class gift which can be seen at the hall in Medway. The class gave a beautiful granite bench in memory of their classmate Brian Olson, which was a thoughtful way for him to be remembered.

The 2025 Graduating Class includes: Daniel Almeida, Steve Bergeron, Zachary Bethoney, Timothy Collins, Joseph Dean, Joshua DeMelo, Aimee Ganter, Jason Jones, Joseph Leeman, David Lopez, Garrett McCormick, Mark Melisi, William Murphy, Sean Perry, Christopher Pickles, Michael Poitrast, Tyler Russell, and Alexander Wilson.

Congratulations to all! On behalf of everyone at the Training Center best of luck on what we are sure will be a safe and prosperous new chapter of your career.

The Training Center will once again be opening for applications starting on November 1, 2025. Any interested candidates should be directed to our website at Local4Training.org and submit an interested candidate form. Once again, this year the application period will be open for the entire month on business days and select Saturdays by appointment only. The advertisement for the application period is included in the Summer 2025 News Magazine.

Thank you to Business Manager Mike Bowes and Worcester Business Representative Jim Marenghi for hosting a great event with the WooSox at Polar Park in early June. It was a fun night spent with members and their families in the Union built ballpark.

Congratulations to Funds Administrator Greg Geiman and the staff in the Funds Office on another 5K event at Bellingham High School. They all do a great job putting this day together. The event is always a fun family-friendly day and it’s nice to see so many families participate.

I hope you all have a great summer, and please reach out if there is anything we can do to help you.
